What happens when two organisations committed to building deep partnerships for India come together? Pure magic.

The Guild Co. and ACMA India have joined hands, and we could not be more excited about what this means for the Indian automotive industry.

Together, we are working to help India's auto component companies build deep, strategic ties with China, Japan and Taiwan: technology partnerships, manufacturing ventures, resilient supply chains, everything needed to power India's electrified automotive future.

We formally started this effort last month. And we did not start small.

Last week, a delegation of 25 CEOs from India's finest auto component companies landed in Beijing. Together, we walked the floors of the Beijing Auto Show, one of the world's largest automotive exhibitions, showcasing the future of mobility. We held structured meetings and deep conversations, and started discussions on what we can do together. We then moved to Nanjing, Suzhou and Shanghai, visiting battery and EV technology companies, and closed the week with a landmark event in Shanghai with Jack Cheng (Chairman, M Mobility; Co-founder, NIO; former CEO, MIH Consortium; Chairman, XPT) and Edward Tse (Gao Feng Advisory), two of the sharpest minds on China's mobility transformation.

Then we ended the China visit in Shenzhen with a strategic connect with the leadership team of one of the largest EV companies in the world.

One thing we saw clearly: China is keen to engage India.

Conversations were substantive and the interest was genuine. The complementarities are real: China's technology depth, and India's fast-growing market and manufacturing ecosystem. These two industries belong together, and the window to build these bridges is now. Most importantly, we also had a lot of fun together.

India and China can work together. We will make it happen.

None of this would have been possible without ACMA leadership: Vikrampati Singhania (President, ACMA), Sriram Viji, Vinnie Mehta (Director General, ACMA) and the entire ACMA team (Pooja Sharma, Anil Kumar Unni and Rupender Kaushik). Their trust in us to co-design and deliver this mission is something we are deeply grateful for. ACMA has been a force for good for India's auto component industry for decades, and this partnership gives The Guild Co. a chance to contribute to the transformative vision of ACMA.

A huge thanks also to our ecosystem partners in China for hosting us and giving us their time so generously, and to all the delegate CEOs from India.

We are just getting started. We look forward to working shoulder to shoulder with ACMA, India's automotive component companies, and our ecosystem partners across China, Japan and Taiwan, to build not transactional relationships, but strategic ventures that catalyse India's automotive transformation for decades to come.
