SOVEREIGN TECH STACK

THE PROBLEM

India is deploying intelligent systems and devices at unprecedented scale. Smart meters across 250 million homes. Drones across its skies. Surveillance systems across its cities, railways, and borders. Payment terminals across its economy. Robotics across its factories.
 

Every one of these systems runs on a software layer — firmware, device management platforms, over-the-air update infrastructure, AI inference engines, analytics pipelines. And in almost every case, that software layer is controlled from servers outside India, by companies whose interests are not always aligned with India's.
 

India does not control the stack running its most critical intelligent systems. That is not acceptable — and it is exactly the problem The Guild Co. is building to solve.
 

This is not about nationalism for its own sake. It is about sovereignty in the most practical sense: who controls the updates, who holds the telemetry, who can switch off the system, who owns the data. In an era of geopolitical volatility, the answer to those questions matters enormously.

The Sovereign Tech Stack is TGC's third business engine — and it operates differently from our distribution and strategic ventures portfolios in one important way.

 

India requires a sovereign digital stack—locally built, domestically hosted, and fully compliant for national scalability—ensuring the nation ends up with a software stack it owns, controls, and can govern, entirely independent of any single foreign provider. To achieve this, our scope is precise: we are building the intelligence layer between hardware and cloud.

OUR CURRENT FOCUS

The Device Management Platform (DMP) — India's Starting Point for Sovereignty.
 

Our primary current focus is the delivery of a Device Management Platform (DMP) purpose-built for India's needs.
 

A Device Management Platform is the control layer that sits between deployed hardware and the organizations that operate it. It governs how devices are configured, how they are updated, how they are monitored, and how they are secured — at scale, across millions of devices, in real time.
 

Today, most DMPs deployed in India are operated by foreign companies. The telemetry flows out. The updates come in from abroad. The kill switch — if it exists — is held by someone else.
 

TGC's DMP changes that. It is:
 

  • Multi-tenant — supporting multiple device manufacturers and operators on a single platform
  • Multi-device — deployable across any category of intelligent system or device
  • India-localized — data residency in India, compliance with DPDP Act and relevant Indian regulations
  • India-controlled — governance, operations, and ownership in Indian hands
  • Hardened-security - secure-by-design, with strong encryption and auditable controls
