His career spans deep operational leadership and regional business development across Asia-Pacific, with a focus on complex, cross-border growth initiatives. 
• Worked extensively with fortune 1000 companies in APAC (across industries – industrials, energy, chemicals, consumer packaged goods, ICT, consumer electronics, etc.) to help them grow their business in the region; worked extensively on initiatives around markets, growth, customers, competition, partners. 
• Proficient in general management, consulting + analytics delivery, delivery ecosystems build, business development, managing commercial relationships / deal-making in APAC – India, China, Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia. 
• Deep understanding of cultural nuances and business practices as involved in operating in APAC. Travelled Extensively and Lived in the Region (18+ Years Living in China, Japan, Singapore). 
• Angel investor into a portfolio of companies in Singapore, India, China, etc. Also, a board member and member of Singapore Institute of Directors.

• +20 years of experience in market development and cross-border growth initiatives across Asia. His career spans leadership roles in technology, industrials, and high-tech sectors, with a strong record of 'zero-to-one' business creation. 
• Seeded and built multi-million USD business verticals (IT, industrials, etc.) across India, China (including HK, Macau), Taiwan, Japan, and Southeast Asia. 
• Worked with some of the largest global companies (across sectors) to help them grow their business globally. Worked extensively on market penetration initiatives and zero to one strategy for new markets.  
• Extensive experience working across cultures, markets, companies – deep understanding of Asian markets (Japan, China, India, Taiwan, etc.) built through years of working and living in the region. Skilled in cross-cultural relationship building, deal-making, and navigating complex business environments. Allows him to be very effective in deal-making across markets.
• A polyglot and an angel investor in various early-stage companies in India.

• James Ma brings 20+ years of leadership and operational experience in risk management, quantitative modelling, consulting, commercial and technology product-builds across premiere Bulge Bracket Investment Banks and Financial Service Tech Companies. 
• Worked extensively on strategic, large-scale transformation initiatives, building integrated solutions that embed quant modelling, business development, AI tooling and machine learning into risk, finance, capital and strategy planning—addressing both regulatory requirements and key efficiency and quality challenges faced by the business.
• He is at ease while working across cultures — blending in, building trust and navigating Asian markets with strong cross-cultural deal-making skills.
• He is a regular visiting faculty at various top Indian educational institutions. He co-created and delivered Financial Risk Analytics & Management (FRAM), a full-credit course, at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani.
