In global supply chains reshaped by trade tensions and pandemics, India is steadily expanding its manufacturing footprint. The shift is understated: no grand proclamations, just pragmatic steps to build capacity and attract investment.
Our co-founder Jayasuryan Prabhakaran says: “We see this as a long-term effort rooted in India’s unique strengths and tempered by persistent hurdles. The goal is not to displace others but to carve a reliable, complementary role in the world economy.”
We at The Guild Co. are working on supporting India’s build, with a special focus on intelligent systems and devices. A long march ahead, but we will stay the course.
A major global voice has made a powerful forecast about India’s future. Former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has said “India could soon catch up with, and may even surpass, China’s economy.” India has to do a lot right to get there. Speaking at Chatham House, he said “demographic destiny could tilt the global economic balance”. His remarks come at a time when India’s GDP growth is among the fastest in the world, driven by consumption, investment and global supply chain shifts.
At The Guild Co., we absolutely believe that China will innovate and continue to be a dominant force in the global economy, and India may or may not surpass it. But what is clear is that India’s manufacturing will grow substantially, and we are going to do our very best to contribute to it.
