India aims to strengthen ties with Taiwan through deeper business relationships, particularly with Taiwanese technology suppliers, writes AInvest. There are significant efforts under way at government level, at industry level and among academia and trade bodies, from both India and Taiwan. One recent example: a ministerial-level delegation was in Taipei to promote the development of an international financial services hub in Gujarat. The move is part of India’s efforts to diversify its supply chain.
There is so much unexplored potential for business between these two partners. India’s bilateral trade with Taiwan stood at USD 10.6 billion in FY2024. The relationship is still young, and we have to do a lot more together.
The Guild Co. is working actively to strengthen the India–Taiwan partnership. We have a portfolio of partners in Taiwan for intelligent systems and devices (for example drones, surveillance equipment, airport infrastructure products, and railway and metro infrastructure, as products and technologies), and we are actively working on delivering these products and technologies to our partners in India.
